An interesting red (as in brown), yellow, green and blue balance colour combination gives this photo its unique autumnal, almost wintery flair. The almost inivisible, yet noticeable cobweb between the first two perennials add to the whithery theme.
The strong depth of field sets a platform for the three whithering beauties that some of us remember from their childhood, as we used to split the ends apart and stick the rotator onto the back of our noses. Do you remember?
Connotations of fairytales shine through here, I'm reminded of Cinderella's three wishing hazelnuts (there exists, by the way, a fab Czech TV production, called "Three Gifts For Cinderella/Tři oříšky pro Popelku" by DEFA-Studios in connection with Filmové Studio Barrandov
dramaturgical group Ota Hofman), which spark images of dreams, wishes and places of other times.
