Fetish art explores the human nature, the raw desires, the highest sensation of human emotion.
A desire that none of us can't get rid of, yet we can't get enough of it, but is a powerful emotion that must be controlled, or it can destroy our life, if we fall right into the flames with blind eyes.
why do we have this desire? What's it's purpose? Where does it stem from? I bet many of us sometimes really wonder about it, and fetish art is one of many ways that explores this fascination.
I really don't dabble into this art, but I do acknowledge the existance of it. I have a gift for interpreting art works. I like to study art of every media to understand the meaning, the story and origin and history of the work. Cause, every picture speaks a thousand words. They all have some kind of meaning that the artist hopes to communicate visually.
I'm not sure though if I'm ready to interpret fetish art yet. This media is a very provocative one, and I want to be able to view this from an artist point of view.
The art world has a powerful way of pulling the beholders into it's world, that leaves a lasting impression. I can see why, this media is very popular.
Maybe, I'll check out this media one day, when my conviction is stronger. Besides, I don't want to fool myself into thinking what I can or can't handle. No matter how well I know myself, I learned that I can be my worst enemy.

The quality of the photos is amazing, but many of the situations and objects in the photos seem overtly sexual. It's not a condemnation or a judgement. I am just looking for an explanation of "fetish photography" so that I understand what separates it from Artistic Nude or Portrait or some other category.
I'm really trying to gain understanding, even if it seems like I'm just criticizing.
