I had a long walk today in the 'Teverner Heide' (Marshes) and found this wonderful leaf - Some shots can only be taken on one single day, or even moment before they dissappear. It's my destiny to see, to catch and to share them. Shot taken with my brand new Canon EF 2,8/100mm USM Macro lens.

An incredible capture with outstanding vivid color, but the real kicker here is the focus, it is just exceptional.... (

What an eye catching piece! I would totally have this up on my wall! The first thing I though of Monet's Painting. I adore the focus on this piece and by that I mean how focused it perfectly is overall but also the leaf with the microcosmos of drops. I love the blue cool colours with the hints of yellow and green reflections in the water. I love the little bokeh effect under the leaf like a ray of light passing by. I adore the ripples around the leaf. It brings such delicate beauty to it. Truly breathtaking! This truly is a magical and tranquil piece of art.
Absolutely stunning shot. I can't believe someone hasn't written you a critique yet! First and foremost I love the vibrant blue reflection of the sky in the water, and how you can almost feel the curved surface of the water around that leaf like it's made of glass. The composition and focus is great as well. I love the focus on the leaf and it's droplets, and the stray pieces of grass in the foreground. It is really a great find, and something that most of us have likely walked right by, oblivious to its existence. Thank you so much for sharing one of the simple things with us, and with such presentation.
